I was at the German IWA Show last weekend, and Eric helped me shoot some videos of a few of the upcoming prototypes. It takes some time to render HD on my old system, so the videos will be posted over the next few days.

First up is a video of the upcoming Dyad Sprint Prototype:

Sorry, but "we all" implies that I'm included in that group, and I'm not. Sprint C44, oh yes. Domino, pass.

The Serrrata is one of my favorite Spyderco prototypes from this year's Amsterdam Meet (& IWA show). Eric also provides a litte info on the manufacturing process and challenges for this prototype.

Just curious Mr Blonde. I've heard there's a large version of the dragonfly in the works. Did you happen to see it? If so is it the same but larger, or slightly different like the larger kiwi and the larger balance are?

A presentation of the upcoming Hungarian Ethnic Folder; a collaboration between Spyderco & Gabor Szakonyi.

I didn't see a larger Dragonfly at the Meet or at IWA. That doesn't mean it isn't being worked on though. Spyderco is also known to surprise us with completely unexpected or unannounced designs or sprints.

The Gabor Szakonyi looks beautiful! I'd love to see one with a bead blasted bolsters and micarta...and thanks again for taking the time to post these videos sir!

I think it was a joke. Later, we'll ask him to do something that's not a joke so we can compare.

Anyway, thanks for taking the time to post the vids!

Damn the Domino looks sweet

[EDIT] I'm also interested in how the dendritic carbides in the cast 440 work on the Stuart Ackerman Serrata.

What kind of lock is on the Hungarian? Or is it friction?

I dig the looks of it, and agree that a little sandblasting would be awesome. And CTS-XHP...yes sir!

I don't know if I can pass up the Hungarian. Blade shape like the military, classy good looks, and I'm Hungarian to boot..

Eric Glesser presents the ClipiTool, an upcoming concept model knife/tool combo by Spyderco.
