Just a few of my favorite tanto bladed knives:

OZ knives. Love this knife although not much for using. The micarta handle is nice but there is no guard and as the handle can get a little slick if your hands are sweaty. Just one to display.

Cold Steel Spike. Just fun to have more than anything. Can be used for utility tasks but really not very good at it. I think its main use if for sticking.

Cold Steel Kobun. Great fixed blade for edc (at least on weekends. Light weight and comes with a very nice IWB sheath.

Cold Steel Recon 1. Of all the folders I own or have owned, this has quicly become my favorite. The only other folder that I liked this much would be the old Cold Steel Shinobu (sure wish they still made that).

Your turn, lets see 'em.

Also my only tanto, I'm normally not attracted to the regular tantos but, fell in love with this one so there may be more in my future.

Here's one I finished recently for a customer. The funky cord wrap was a specific customer request.

Oh baby! That crosscut black palm has Bill Akers written all over it! That guy sure knows how to finish woods.

Here's a 3/16" O1 tanto I made. It's currently out for HT.

Very nice, What will be your choice for the handle ?

P.S. congrat for your work, your're more and more on the good way

I'm putting some black linen micarta on it with hammer peened SS pins.

here's one of only two knives I've ever finished, this one forged from O1 tool steel (an air hammer bit). Lace wood handle.

I'm not usually a big fan of tantos but I love this folder by Alan Folts (recently reviewed in the "Reviews and Testing" section):

Here's my tanto, not an american styled tanto, or tactical. This is more of a traditional Tanto.
12" Blade, 6" handle
T10 tool steel, Differentially hardened, clay tempered with large point.
African Rosewood Handle and scabbard with Buffalo horn inserts, and knob.

Cheapo Christmas gift I got 2years ago

Smith & Wesson Homeland Security Knife, made in china 8" 440c blade, 14" OAL, g10 scales, thick full tang, sheath is basic nylon, plastic ,velco job with pouch and included sharping stone, button snap and bigger belt loop would be major improvement. Was bored and wrapped a bit of the handle thats not production.

Surprisingly well made and sharp out of box but don't see myself ever using it. Not much utility in the tanto point for my needs, however i also do own a SOG Aegis in tanto point for what if defense scenario and its serrations
