Howdy new here been throwing knives and hawks since I was a kid thought I would post a pic of some of my favorite throwers

They were made by Chris Burkholder a Amishman not to far from me he makes or made quite a few knives and hawks from the cutoffs of buggy springs, he also builds some very nice flintlock rifles
 
A friend from Ohio sent me some knives a while back. He told me they were forged by an Amishman from buggy springs. Not only do they look similar, they share the same mark. I can see it clearly on the bottom blade in your photo. Mine still have a bit of paint on them though ;-)

The yellow scales are Osage the were Curly Maple, I think the Osage will be more durable
 
Rich what is the hide behind those classic looking blades? Antelope? Great post and yes that fellow at the anvil knows the business end of a hammer! You've got some good tools there.

Thats a big winter PA whitetail hide, and yep Chris knows his way around a anvil he makes some of the best Hawks and Knives I've ever thrown
