A few thunderstorm/rainbow pics

Went for a drive with my wife this afternoon, and a thunderstorm rolled in. Stopped and took a few pics on our way out of town and on the way home as well. This is Sawmill Peak, about 3/4 of a mile from our dome. It was a great afternoon. We've been together nearly seventeen years, and she still rocks my world every single day.

Its been a bit stormy around my are the last several days. There's been the beginnings of a few rainbows but nothing like the one in Josh's pic. Yesterday I saw a few cool-looking bolts of lightning while I was out running though.

Thanks for all the kind words! I wish my pics could have captured 1% of how beautiful it really was. It was just a great day all around.

Broken, I'm in Northern California, about two hours northeast of Sacramento.
 
I think we should send the pictures to the leader of North Korea and have world peace.

That last one was outstanding Josh. Love those saturated vibrant post-storm colors. Very nice composition too:)
