Hello,
Over the holidays I had some spare time to finish up a few knifemaking projects. Here they are. The first is a knife that I have made a few of. It is an ebony hybrid that mixes a seahorse whittler blade and a Tony Bose gardeners knife handle. The blade is 154cm and it has nickel silver liners, pins and bolsters. It also has milled liners and a al/bronze pivot bushing. I had the great opportunity to visit with two great knifemakers recently and with their help and guidance I was able to step up the quality and fit and finish of my knives. I am very greatful to both of them.
I am wrapping up a work in progress post for the knife above. I hope to have it up tonight......The knife is not available.
The second "knife" is a seam ripper and sheath for my mom the quilter. The blade is 01 and the handle material is palmwood. The ripper blade is made with a chainsaw file. The pattern is based off a teardrop pattern from Tony Bose adapted to a fixed blade. I enjoyed making this and also working with the palmwood. It splinters easy but it finished up well.
Thank you for viewing.
