A few weeks with the Inkosi

I've carried my Small plain Inkosi exclusively since I got it a few weeks ago and turned out that I like it better than I expected.
I expected:
1. Not to like anything but a Bushing pivot system. Instead the large pivot pin and washers give a smooth feel and confidence, this is a solid knife. It's easy to adjust, then a little locktight, done.
2.The thicker blade was a concern of not slicing well. No problem slicing or cutting wood, the grind is great.
3. Small handle would not be comfortable. Not so, it feels great, even with hard cutting.

This one will compete with the old Insingo.

Glad to hear another positive review. I have a small micarta inbound. Very much looking forward to it.

Thanks for the breakdown.

I love mine and I also didn't expect to. I love the pivot bushing system, but before I owned CRKs I imagined that "sebenza smoothness" being more like what I got in the Inkosi.

When I first held the Inkosi (Blade show 2015) I thought it was too small, and did not expect to get one. Fast forward a little over a year and I got one. Now I prefer it over my small 21s and carry the Inkosi far more often. It is a great design.

I thought the same things about the Large Inkosi and found the same to be true.

Such a great knife. I was also put off by the non pivot bushing setup. But man do I love these now that I have tried them. It's so much easier to break down and clean.

Glad you are enjoying it!

Don't tell anybody but I'm actually searching around a few places to get my hands on a BNIB large that still has the ceramic ball lockup....SHHHHHHHHHH I don't like big knives.

Don't they all have the ceramic ball lockup? I don't follow what you are seeking.

I did word it poorly as I was referring to the actual groove itself.

Couldn't agree more for the praise for the Small Inkosi

I was turned off by it as well. CRK = Sebenza = Bushing Pivot. Then I held a 25 in hand at a knife shop and knew I had to try the Inkosi. Now, I EDC this thing daily.

Stop it!!!:)

I've accumulated "a few" knives over the last six decades, but my 25 is the only modern folder that I carry anymore. Occasionally, I think that it might be nice to have a shorter version. So now I have to get a small Inkozi, I guess. A few years ago, if someone told me that I'd spend over $200 on a knife, I would've called them nuts!
