I said I would post pictures of this after it was stripped...but I took some time to pretty it up, first. No glamour or work shots - just a quick look.
Even with the coating, I could tell there was an old scar; but I'm mature enough not to obsess on it. (or am I?)

Yeah - that one definitely left a mark...
I haven't decided how much I want to mess with that

That is a great-looking blade right there, I wish I could find one for myself. I think the scar adds character, gives it a history that intimidates more than anything else. If you're already willing to strip it and modify it, I think the scar fits a user perfectly.

I've got an unused BK6 tucked away, remaining unused. This one was purchased lightly used, with the intent of stripping it...so I only let the scar give me a moment's pause. I saw it as soon as I unsheathed it; but I wasn't expecting it. (It was shown; but I was using a small tablet. I missed it)
Would I have purchased it if I had? I don't know - probably not...because my whole reason for stripping was to bring it up to a nice level of polish. Kind of silly to do that with a big ugly grind mark on the blade

Well if you want to part with it I'm sure you'd find some takers.
Maybe dura coat it?

I'm not sure what Duracoat would do for it, other than re-cover the blade that I just stripped. Am I missing something?
I'm okay with the wayward grind mark...I'm just less inclined to invest the time and effort into polishing the blade. (I could sand it out; but I'm not sure I want to thin the blade that much)

The Duracoat would just make it so you wouldn't see the grind mark. I'd just beat it ugly!!!

that scar looks like a sword design, I like it!
