I still have to epoxy the handle but other than removing the ring nut this knife is complete. I guess it could also use an edge but I'll wait on that till after the sheath is made. This one has a 14" blade forged out of Aldo's plane old 1084. Its got a pretty decent hamon but its acting camera shy. The fittings are iron and the handle is curly hickory. Overall its a fuzz over 20".

Awesome blade Raymond. Leaves the visual impression that
it never ends...

All the best,
David Darom (ddd)

YES!!!

I was hoping you would turn out another huge s-guard blade. And I love the dark fittings.

I don't want to speak too soon, but from the initial impression, this is one of my favorites of yours Ray. It really jumps off the screen at me...

I'm going back to study the pics more :D

Eli, Here's a post I started at shop talk a few days ago on this knife: http://www.bladeforums.com/forums/showthread.php?t=617423

I agree with you. This is my all time favorite!

Ouch! I just poked my eye out looking at this one.
You're the man, Ray:thumbup::cool:

Oooh, I like that loooong pointy blade.

The axe / hawk / whatever you call it - is gorgeous.

Big-Un,

You just keep on turnin' out those monster blades. Makes my stuff seem "inadequate".

After seeing this one, I feel lower than a snake's belly in a wagon track.

Back to the drawing board.

Beautiful. It's like a dark haired woman with loooong legs!;)

Kind regards,

Jos

Ray-
Not like it's news, but that style of yours is just crazy! That is an awsome blade buddy, when I look at it, I envision a raptor; sleek, sharp and fast! Beautiful work, keep em' comin.

As much as the blade commands attention I cannot take my eyes off the handle and the fittings. What elegant lines and beautiful complementary materials. Simply stunning!!
