Here's a 10/10 25 inch, 2 pound Sirupati made and marked by Sanu. Perfect in every aspect as far as I can tell. Karda and chakma same.

What's interesting about this rig, though, is the scabbard. It was made by Terry Sisco and it's the first khukuri we have offered in 15 years to have a canvas cover for the scabbard. Underneath that canvas is a top notch leather scabbard also made by Terry.

So, everybody who has been wanting a canvas cover take a look. I'm sure Terry will do a similar fine job for you at a reasonable price. Send your scabbard to Terry and he'll make the canvas cover for it. We are going to get Terry working full time in that Sarki shop one way or the other.

So if anybody is interested in getting an HI first here's your chance. We will deliver this rig to your door for $150 and besides the usual HI lifetime guarantee we'll also guarantee that you'll not be disappointed.

Call or email if interested.

This is still here!!!
Woah...everybody must be out testing their kuks while we are in the office. Boy there are going to be some happy folks that cannot usually get UBDOTD's....I wonder if they are gone too???

I just thought I'd let everyone know that Sandi does all the canvas covers for the Sarki Shop. And she does a top notch job.

Uncle Bill, I sent email! Looks like my dream come true!

I've been thinking about getting some work done by the Sarki Shop, especially that quick draw sheath.

Hope I was quick enough.

Chris, it's yours but the sheath is not the quick draw variety but it is still top notch and if you are disappointed with anything about this rig send it back. But, I don't think I'll ever see this one again.

Terry is right about Sandi's work.

:
Sandi also makes a great khukuri ladder to hold and display your khukuri's.:D
I'm fortunate enough to have one, although I have yet to put it up - haven't decided where, it will be a great way to keep a few khukuris close at hand, yet out of the way.:)
I haven't checked their website out real well since I got the new 'puter, but I think they're on there, if not they oughta be.:D

I could see it isn't a quick draw. Don't think it'll be possible to be disappointed. Look at that rig! Hot Dog!

It just got me to thinking, cause I know about how good the work from the Sarki Shop is.

I like the idea of getting quick draw sheaths for some of my khukuris. By the time I think about wrapping one up, figuring out shipping, and insurance, and also think about one of my favorites at the mercy of the postal service, I just keep putting it off.

Terry, how about making some standard sizes for some of the more popular khukuris? I know no two are exactly the same, but if you made them with a little play around the edges?

For more custom models, could we trace the outline on a piece of paper? Could you make a sheath or scabbard from that?

Thank you Sandi, Terry, Sanu, and, of course, Uncle Bill for this rig. This one looks like it will be something to put in a place of honor. I can't wait to get it.

I got the 25 inch Sirupati by Sanu and with the scabbard and canvas cover by Terry and Sandi Sisco of the Sarki Shop.

The Sirupati is run-of-the-mill Sanu, namely absolutely perfect. I was afraid it might break my wrist, but I am pleasantly surprised. It has a meaningful and menacing heft, but my lady friend Mary and her daughters, Jessica and Sarah, were all able to wield it nicely one-handed. I was hoping it would be heavy enough to keep it over in my pile, but I had a hard time getting it back from them.

The scabbard works the best of any I have. The khukuri slides easily in and out of it, but when you push it the last half-inch in, it snugs up like an expensive custom holster. Terry must have spent a lot of time getting the fit exactly right. Of course, little details, the fit and folds, are all exact and perfect.

The canvas cover is great! It must have been a trick it to fit a shape as weird as a khukuri sheath. It's going to keep the sheath from getting scratched and nicked up. Besides, it dresses it up nice and looks great!

I think I'll get the Sarki shop to make me some canvas covers for some of my fancier tooled scabbards to protect them from getting beat up.

Uncle Bill, give my regards to Sanu, and thanks Terry and Sandi. You should be proud of your skill and workmanship. I couldn't be happier with this rig.

Chris

Thanks for good report from the field, Chris. I thought that rig was just about as good as you can get but I always think I'm biased. Your report tells me I'm not.

;) MR. BILL, THAT IS REAL NICE SET UP. MAN I CAN'T WAIT TO GET ONE OF THOSE.I LIKE THAT IDEA WITH THE CANVAS COVER!MY MOUTH IS WATERING :D FOR ONE. TTFN FRANK C. OF BLACK HILLS DR.:(

I think the Sarki shop is going to see some orders coming in for that canvas cover. Very neatly done. Looks good and works good.

Buoy,
Sandi and I are glad you like it. Let us know how it holds up.
Thanks for all the kind words everybody. We are gonna keep trying to get the Sarki Shop up to full time status, soon I hope!!
God Bless.
Terry

You need to learn how to work 20 hours per day, Terry. Then you're ready for the Sarki shop full time. People want those scabbards in the mail the day after they are ordered.
