HOLY SHIV! I have had the Delica full serrated for a couple months but have never cut any rope.

Haysoos!

Went through it like it was thread.

 :)

I get a real sense of satisfaction cutting rope with a SE Spyderco. To Quote Mike Myers, it cuts "Like Butta".

and that is why i do not carry a spydi without serrations. if ya gotta cut rope, nothing else will do. or at least do it as fast.

congratulations, by the way!

If you think that rope is good, try cutting a plastic garden hose with a full Spydie SE.
The only disapointment I had was it cut too fast to enjoy the sensation :D

Exactly. So far I have a Para-Military, Military, Dodo and a Meerkat. All with fully serrated blades. I thought of choosing a plain edge model, but in the end I always choose the serrated version. Of course I don't hope so, but *should* I ever need my Spyderco in an emergency situation I want maximum cutting power. In every day situations the serrated blades work just fine too.

I was put off by the looks of a serrated edge until the Navigator went on sale. So, I got one in plain and one with the spyderedge just to experiment. Let's just say I was so impressed with the toothed one that I've ordered my next Miilie with teeth also. Just seems to cut so much better through the hard stuff.
