A Fisher Pen writing question

I bought one at Staples a couple of weeks ago. The pen gets great marks for portability and style. However I have had problems with its writing ability. I write a lot in patients records and on 3X5 cards and the pen keeps skipping after writing a bit and leaving blobs on the initial pen to paper. Is this abnormal? I keep my pen clipped to my breast pocket. The 3X5 are standard cards and the patient records are typical copier quality paper.

No, it is not normal. Send an email to Fisher and they will take care of you.

I had a problem with a pen and sent it back and they sent me a new one immediately-no questions asked.

You might ask them for a refill to replace that one.

Is it the fake fisher made by Everlast?

I don't know how many times I have had retailers tell me that Everlast bought out Fisher and now these are the redesigned Fishers.

Everlast = Crap

Its in the fisher packaging and says fisher everywhere. I just sent an email to Fisher, thanks for the heads up on that.
I hope its just a defective cartridge because i do like it when it does write.

I've heard complaints like this before. Faulty cartridges are a known problem. It seems they will send you a new refill if you tell them yours does not work.

I dropped them an EMAIL. They are going to send a replacement. They are definately proactive. I hope this one works. I would think it would as with this kind of service you counldn't aford to back crappy products.

Fisher is definately going to get more business from me.

I found a fisher a couple of years back and it was missing the ink cartridge. The pieces(3) were scattered all over the place but I found them all. Would I have to send the pen to fisher for an ink cartridge or just email 'em? Thanks.

The pen is marked EVERSHARP ASTRONAUT USA. Hope that Everlast wasn't a typO.

I believe it was, but it's the cartridge that makes the space pen what it is, unless you have one of the real fancy models. Get a genuine fisher refill, and you are just as good as a genuine fisher pen.

They sent me a new refill. I dumped the old one. Now the pen writes on everything, smoothly without skipping. I'm going to use the one up and try one more refill before, I plunk down more cash on a cooler model or that new lifetime model.

Fisher is OK in my book.
