I've found something out while I was repairing my MGC 3.5" balisong. First off it was taken apart because I thought that I could take the handles on my multi-tool and put them on my bali, replacing the zamak handles. It didn't work so I was putting new pins back into my bali when I found that I couldn't use a rubber band for a spacer. Before, when I first started replacing the pins in my balis I found that the razors kept on falling out when I hit the nail, so I would put a thick rubber band inbetween the handle and the tang only on one side. This worked perfectly on my Jag and my 2 Rostfrei's, but I found that the handles on the MGC were a lot tighter and didn't have as much space inbetween and that is where the razors worked.

So, the point to all of this is: lots of space, use a rubber band; not a lot of space, use razors.

BTW, when I put the handles back in, I made it so I now have a manila style latch.
