Someone just asked me about this, and I didn't know the definative answer having no experience

Soooooooooo-

What do you Guys & Gals think of the Century Torso Training Bags with the upper body made of plastic?

Badass Bob, or whatever its called?

Strengths vs. Weaknesses

Thanks!

Strengths:

1. It looks like a human (the thing you're
presumably practicing to be hitting).

2. Because it's shaped like a human, you can gouge the eyes, hit the throat, etc.

Weaknesses

1. It's uniformly soft. This might not seem like a big deal, but the human body is not the same uniform texture. Punching someone in the forehead is going to have a much different feel (breaking your hand would hurt a bit...) vs. punching someone in the nose.

2. It's unstable. The couple of times I got to play with one, I dropped the thing on it's back with a solid tactical SPEAR or side kick.

My .002 for what it's worth (about .002, I'd guess)

Jake,

Thanks for the reply on the Century "Bob", or whatever its called. Your opinion is valued at more than .002 cents - believe me! :D

I understand the intended purpose was to practice engaging the anatomical targets you mentioned, with chops, rakes, slaps, and elbows type techniques.

Be Safe!
