Hello

I just got this beauty from Flavio Ikoma - who is considered by many as the best knifemaker in Brazil. His knives are getting harder and harder to come by and I was really glad to see this one in the package he sent me with some blades I sent him for heat treatment.

This gentleman's folder was based on his Cerbero design and is an incredibly light and elegant knife. this scan definitely doesn't make justice to it's beauty.
It's 3" blade is made of 440C stainless steel and satin finished.
The liners are gold anodized titanium.
The handle scales are bocote - and very inmpressive.
As a final touch, it has a multi-colored titanium clip on th other side.
Like all Ikoma knives it is very solid and has as smooth an action as it could be.
Let me know what you think, guys!

Beautiful knife. I like the blade profile and the bocote has some really nice figuring to it.

Ivan, I think that it is a beautiful knife. The Bocote scales go great with the gold anodized liners. Thanks for the picture.

That's one of my favorite blade shapes, and that wood is just gorgeous. Very nice knife.

I am fascinated with the bocote handle scales.
What lovely patterns.

Congratulations, Ivan. You are one lucky dude!

Thanks for your opinions.
If you aregoing to the Blade Show, you will be able to see Flavio's in your hands, and he is making some very interesting stuff to take to Atlanta.
I am not as lucky as you think, Golok, as that one is already gone and, as it usually happens with Flavio's knives, I don't know when I am going to have another in stock, much less one for myself!

Thanks Ivan,
Because of you I got to meet Flavio last year at Blade

. His work impressed me then and seems to get more impressive on each knife I have seen from him.

Please tell him hello and congratulations when you see or talk to him.

Flavio - who is also very talented with a camera - just sent me this picture of another Executivo (that is how he calls it) and I though you would enjoy seeing it.

The specs are the same except that the blade is stainless damascus and the handle slabs, carbon fiber. This gem is living in France now, Flavio told me.
