hello all
guys ive recently reaquired a foxy folly i once owned
now ive forgoten who made it but the kami mark says it was
made by durba its the flag of nepal was he the only one who
used that mark or did someone use it after him as ive not seen
any mention of him on the forum for a while now.

Hi, lal. According to the link Karda gave you, the flag would designate Vim kami if the UB initials are on the other side of the blade.

The Foxy's Folly is one I'd like to get my hands on. You've got a couple real nice khukuris with the Folly and the Chainpuri. Good going.

on checking that post theres 4 kamis who used the flag
at one time or another but durba and vim kami seem to be the
most popular candidates' it definatly dose have the ub mark
on the other side and as i said what could be the devengari for u b heres a thought any one concidered asking yangdu if a limited edition could be made
say of a wide bellyed kuk with u b's face etched on it a bit like the v.c.winners kuk offered on another site just a thought guys

With the UB on it, safe to say its Vim kami. The UB initials were added to blades after Bill's passing in 2005. Your photo looks like the mark I have on a couple blades attributed to him. The devengari above the UB stands for H and I.

As for your wide-bellied khukuri suggestion, I believe there was a Uncle Bill Memorial Salyan made after his death. And according to Yangdu, Salyans have a tendency to show up every year around March-IIRC. The engraved portrait is an interesting idea. I don't know if it has been done before.
 
just thought it would be a nice gesture to bill and jangdu and real keepsake to those who bought one i know i for one wouldnt mind one just depends on what on like that would cost

I'm almost positive it would be a Vim Kami Foxy if the initials UB are on the other side.
To be sure though, in your pic, those Devangari letters to the left of the 4 pointed star( H.I. sign) are the kamis initials. I believe it would say V.B. or whatever Vims last name might be, if not Bishwakarma
 
Devanagiri initials says "bhi" "ba" so closest English approximation is probably VB. Probably NOT Durba as his initials would start with "da" in Devanagiri.
