A good friend of mine is in the the Peace Corps in Peru. He lives mostly in the mountains, and occasionally trekks down into the jungle. That said, what khuk would you knowledgeable ol' boys and girls reccomend I send to this buddy? (Think dual terrain purpose) Thanks a bunch.:thumbup:

for real deal full time jungle use
i would say a CAK
maybe even a shorter (15") CAK to cut some weight
but thats just me
and im partial to anything i dont think i can break or destroy

Hard to beat the utility and portability of a 15" AK or BAS. I'm also a big fan of the Baby Ganga Ram Special. Anything in the 15" size range should do the trick.

WW 2 16.5" is a good one. I been there 3 weeks, fishing the Amazon, then the Andes, Cusco too.
