This Model 12, 9 Sportsman's Bowie belonged to a good friend, he fell in love with the design while serving in SE Asia, it took him years to find one. He past away in August, related to his service in Vietnam.

I told his wife I'd try and find some info on it.

IIRC he got it in the late 80's. I have a rough Idea of value, I curious about year of manufacture and anything else you could tell me about it.

I looked at it, but can't recall, I'm thinking light, red or tan, I'll ask.

The stone is 'brick' colored

The salmon colored stones began in the early 70's..... your friend's knife is probably a late 70's to 80's knife.... just a guess though.
