A.G. Russell Folding Sting

I've had both in my shop for pocket clip work. They are well made but both are one of the type knives I guess I just don't get it on. I can't say I find either one of them appealing. To me they are very awkward to open also. Don't get wrong at least the Camillus can be flicked open but still what a knife. Far to big to be pracitcal. When I see knives like that I imagine in my head what a cop is going to say if he were to find it on me. Somehow those knives and hand cuffs seem to go together to me. :D But as I said they are built well. It makes sense that they are made by the same company. They do have a lot in common. I hadn't really questioned where the Sting was from before.

STR -were there any flaws?
How would you describe overal fit and finish?

Also do you have any pics? Don't you remember how they were constructed (I can't see screws from the agrussell.com website)?
Thanks.

I have one that an X girl friend bought me. I have never carried it but it is a well made knife. Fit and finish are perfect. Two star screws hold it together.three philps screws hold the clip on the back(only) of the knife. The thumb stud is NOT usable, but you can easily open the knife by pushing down on the finger guard on the back side of the knife. It can flick open, but in NY at least it will be considered a gravity knife and therefore even more illegal than it appears already. I am a former LEO in NY and I will say this is not a LEO friendly knife....
