What an awesome day! A little hot  but still fun.

Meeting all the high ups of the knife empire was great. Most suprising for me though was how nice and open they were.

Of course I had to buy some thing(it would be a wasted trip if I didn't:p ) Picked myself up and A.G.R One Hand Knife and a Benchmade shirt.

So I was there, but were any of you ? I had a blue shirt on that said "Galadriel Lives" in white script.:D Oh yeah, my head was just a tad read :o from those hours in the sun.

ALmost forgot, what knife did you pick up while there? You did get a knife...right?

hiya!
i was the fella (the solitary male) working in the showroom behind the counter. hope you had a good time, and that you will come back sometime and we can introduce ourselves properly :D

SO it was you, my friend thought so but wasn't sure. My little brother met you at least, he was one one who was checking out your e-2 (or is that m-2).

Yeah it's to bad we didn't get introduced, oh well maybe I'll see you next vist.

Since you live around there are you going to work there, or was it just a one time thing for the grand opening?

Good Evening, it etc.,
Glad you had a good time, Mic!
Morris, I'm happy to hear that you're still working and they haven't found out about your other work as a spy for Fury..
Whoops!
I slipped, sorry... I'd delete that text, but I'm in a big rush right now. I know you said I should keep that quiet, but you knopw how stuff just slips every once in a while... and, like I said, I woulda deleted that part where I said, "...and they haven't found out about your other work as a spy for Fury...", but again, I'm in a big rush and it woulda took a lotta time to delete that... hell, now it'd take forEVER to delete that cuz it's there TWICE now!!
Ya know, I'm looking back and realizing that I just spent a lot more time typing in the reason why I couldn't delete that part where I said "and they haven't found out about your other work as a spy for Fury..", and now realize that even WITH the 2 times it was said, it still woulda taken less time to delete 'em than it was to write the excuses not to delete 'em...
But since there's THREE of 'em now, obviously it's impossible.

Anyhow, to deflect the Fury/You association of this post, I'm gonna send this over to General, just cuz there's more people there that might have gone to the opening, but not gone to Community.

Another reason I'm moving it is cuz I can.
I remain, oh so smugly,
VG

PS - Moderators at General... if this really DID'NT belong at General, feel free to bounce it back here, or EMAIL me privately... but it really DOES seem to me that it belongs there.

Damn, VG, you crack me up:D

I was there, didn't have any money, but enjoyed handling all the merchandise! I made the 4hr trip just so I could be there. Well worth it!

I can't wait for Kershaw to release the Leek! Gotta have one with the rainbow BC1 coating, for sure. Found out it was Serendipity discovering the rainbow effect. The gentleman said they were trying to achieve the black color, but got the temperature wrong, and Bamm! there's the rainbow finish! Amazing what you can find out.:D

lmao,veeg!

mic,the light i had on my person was the m2, and i might have had the other surefire's that we sell out,and showing them off.
sweet lights.

we had a great time, and appreciate everyone coming out to see us.
I believe there are plans to hold a show next year, possibly with some custom makers since there was such a huge turnout this year. Estimates range from 8,000 to 10,000 visitors over the weekend, with most of them on saturday morning.

thanks
robert

Bob and I had a great time at the AGR Grand Opening. Did we see some of you guys at our table? If so, you will probably not be surprised to know that Bob's thumb is sore from sharpening so many knives. (That is hard to imagine considering all the calluses on his hands.)
We had our typical hot and humid Arkansas August weather, but a huge crowd gathered. I thought my body had forgotten how to perspire, but not so. I must say that Goldie and AG's staff took great care of guests and customers alike. What a unique experience for knife enthusiastes--to meet the HEADS of 19-20 major knife manufacturing companies. Even Pete Gerber, founder of Gerber Legendary Blades, was there autographing knife blades for free. I would try to name all the companies/presidents who were there, but I'm afraid I would leave someone out. Anyway, an awesome event....
Best regards from Bob and me,
Linda Dozier

Vampire Gerbil, you are quite simply insane! But then isn't that a requirement to want to be a BF moderator?

Suggestion: If there is going to be another show (A) have it inside with the nice AC (B) food!:footinmou I almost had to eat my little brother.;)
