A.G. Russell - Guarantee

Is A.G. Russell's "100% Satisfaction Guarantee" as good as they make it out to be? Has anyone here had any experience with this? Their prices are higher than elsewhere, but if they will stand behind their sales to the degree that they claim, I feel it would be more than worth it.

I have had a couple of AG Russells knives (wish I had kept the sting). I never had any reason to try out his guarantee, as the knives were pretty darn good, and performed well. From what I have heard though, his guarantee is just like he says, which is very good.

Yes, it is as good as it sounds. I bought many knives from them (theirs and other manufacturers' or custom makers'), and at times I don't have time to really check the knives for fit and finish. I've exchanged knives I bought 1 or 2 years before, used or unused, for better ones.

I have used their gaurantee, and it is just as they advertise.
Good company, have been for years.
 
The guarantee, customer service is the best in the knife business. As for prices some items are higher than you can get elsewhere but a lot of the knives are only sold there and of very good quality and a pretty good value.

I bought a custom folder from A.G.'s Cutting Edge magazine.I did'nt like it and returned it a few days later.He refunded me-no questions asked.
 
Ok. Thanks to everyone who replied. I've dealt with a lot of companies that claimed to have these kind of "100%" guarantees, but then the guarantee evaporates when you need it. Of course, the companies who honor their guarantee get word-of-mouth recommendations, like people posted here. Now I just need to convince them to carry the BM 730 and 140HS, and I won't have to worry about bad grinds, etc.

I bought a knife from AG that in person did not match the quality I perceived from the catalog. I sent it back for prompt full refund. No questions asked.

If you pay a little more for a knife from AG, one thing you are getting is service. Great people, great company.
