I live in Arkansas and would like to take my 13 y/o son to this knife show. We've never been to a knife show before and don't know what to expect. For one thing, is there enough to do to justify a three day pass or would a one day pass suffice to see and do all there is to do? Between the two of us, my son is the real knifenut.

Also, is the BBQ event worth the extra $16?

I haven't been to that particular event, if it's a small show you can bring your stuff in a small case with a sign advertising what you got and what you want for it (and what you are looking for.) You'll probably see some with a signs on their hat or back, not bad if you enjoy hill folk, Tacky for those that don't. (Personally I LOVE them to death!)

If it's a big classy show (like the old 'Vegas Show) they wont allow you to do that, still they understand that most folks will go with trading in mind. If you are serious about selling or swapping, more than 1 day is good, but I rarely do. (The serious don't need to sleep on it.)

Some people aren't enthusiasts and they can get awful hard because they are only interested in a buck. You weed out the time-wasters, most are GREAT specially in that neck of the woods!

As a family we always felt the desire to support the Knife and Gun groups and always had a super time at the cook-outs and never passed them by. Then you get to talk knives/guns/horses/God, how can you beat that???

I wont mess with the BBQ dinner, and for the size of the show a 1 day pass should suffice.

Look at the blog, they have pics of years past.

I will be there on Friday for the early show

Friday, July 30

2 p.m. - 6 p.m.

The blog is a great idea! I've seen it, but I probably didn't look at it thoroughly. I'll look it over more closely. Thanks!
