I just got this in a few days ago for a pocket clip. Instructions were for a low rider or standard style pocket clip whichever fit best and I felt for the slim lines of this folder that it needed a clip that didn't stand up so high which the low riders tend to do, even more noticed in fact on smaller knives like this one. This clip is invisible in the hand, secure grabbing the pocket quite well, custom made to fit the knife and curve gently with its lines so its a 100% success in my opinion.

So long as you don't make a habit of overtightening thte screws, or taking the clip on and off and, never use loctite or glue in the threads it should last like all the others I've done using FRN, which seems to hold threads quite well. Personally after threading many of these FRN folders I feel FRN holds threads better than G10 or Micarta because some of the early Cold Steel knives I threaded for folks are still holding and working 15 years after the fact or more so I think it will serve you well.

I think you'll be pleased.

On the way home in the morning mail.

Thanks

nice job Steve.

I've been considering one of those knives. Cool clip also.

I don't believe I could thread it Fred. I know some guys have successfully threaded a few thicker stainless knives but once they get that thick after hardening, even at the 45 RockWell they are usually at I get very shaky about trying. The thicker it is the greater chance I have of breaking off a tap in the hole and that would really suck big time in stainless. I can drill the holes ok since finding some #48 carbides but threading?? I don't know. It really depends on how hard A.G. or the manufacturer he selected for those took the steel scales on it. I do all my threading by hand and the fact is you do break more taps that way but if I could just get five twists in it I could probably get two screws to take hold. Providing you are aware of the risk that it could go south on us and make a mess not holding me responsible for a new one I'll try. I won't charge anything to try it if it goes south. We'll talk about that if I can pull it off. Your call my friend.

OK. Give it a try. I understand the risk. Will mail it off in the am.
Thanks for the fast reply

Fred

Yes, just fill out and print the work order form before mailing and all you need to get it to me is there. You can find it in the low rider clip sticky thread or the Read this to mail me work thread top the page, post number two. Thanks
