I've been carrying the A.G. Russell Pen Knife for two days now.
First off, I was somewhat shocked at just how small this knife is. 2" closed with a 1.5" blade. It looks bigger in the catalog (at least to me) than it really is. This is the thinnest knife I've ever seen. It's much thinner than most blades on smaller knives.
There is no side to side blade play. The blade sits dead center between the Ti "slabs". There are no sharp corners to wear a pocket or skin. It came razor sharp right out of the box. The blade is nicely flat ground to a nice thin edge.
The only "problem" I can see is that the back spring is a little on the weak side. Maybe this can't be avoided because of the very thin stock used?
Overall, this is a very nice quality knife for the materials used and the price. It's just a neat little knife to have and use within it's limits. It zips open envelopes, cleans fingernails, picks splinters, and snips threads with the best.
A job well done A.G.
