I have got a few stories and questions all rolled up in to one here. First off My town had a garage sale day saturday, So me being the knife nut you guys have made me I put a sign up on my garage saying this " I PAY CASH FOR OLD POCKET KNIVES" and to an extent it worked. an older fella said I'll be right back, and came back with a 1 of 500 case trapper Iwo Gima Knife in the box and a Schrade SC500, which I had never seen in person, It had elks on it and was in the black box. He didint want to sell that day but he gave me his number and said he had more and we should get together this week. SO hopefully something would work out I would like to have the 500. It had some patina on the blade but in excellent condition and the box was ok. What would be a fair price, the guy seemed pretty honest and I wouldnt want to rip him off, as he got the knife from a friend who died and I think he could use the cash.. Second I hit a flea market and found a pair of friends of NRA knives. a 97ot and 152 ot both mint no box and with sheaths also mint. the lady had $20 on each and I said what would you take for the both, with out batting an eye she said $20 for the pair. I was extatic and couldnt hide it very well. and then I found a schrade copenhagen knife for $20 and gave $10 nib. the end of the box said cope 33 and cope 12 did they use the box for multiple knives? and thats why it has 2 model numbers and were they all issued with the serrated blade. Also were these molded after the 33ot if so there is no removed area to get to the nail nick like the 33 has just thought Id ask if anyone knew much about how many nra ones were produced.-Joel

That's some nice going joel, excellent finds, well done. Cannot answer your questions though, I'm sure someone can.

Do your NRA etched knives have a serial number? I have an Uncle Henry 167UH with the same etch. The one I have has a serial number.

Good idea Joel. Did you sit in your driveway waving a roll of bills?:D

I thought about it hal but it was worth it I bet I had 5 people ask me what I was looking for and a couple actually came back with knives. My father in law has a taxadermy shop Im putting a sigh like that in this week hopefully someone will call-Joel
and no I dont see any numbers on the knife or bolsters

joel, great day my man!!! i cant believe u racked up all that stuff!! jeez!! great way to do it bro! i have a reputation as a "blade collector", so when i hit flea markets i usually have a bunch of guys trying to sell me junk. i did manage to pick up 2 UH's this weekend, but i havent even looked at them yet. spent most of the weekend trying to sell off a elvis presley collection for a friend. yep, even had a few elvis knives!! joel, next time try wigglin your hips to hound dog and see how many women and knives u get!
