I spotted Andrew Zimmern with what looked like a GEC Bullnose. He used it to cut up some fruit during a visit to an orchard at the Amalfi Coast. I could be wrong of course, but I haven't seen anyone else use orange delrin on sodbuster knives.

Looks like the Case 4137 SS Sod Buster Jr. in orange synthetic. The orange is a little washed out in that picture but that could be lighting or color saturation. Hard to tell without a better pic.

Nice spot either way! I am betting the stainless Case is the winner here though. Like Thechunk91 I though you were using your GEC in a unique way:rolleyes:

Good eye! I wonder if it also couldn’t be something he picked up while in Italy.

Andrew is a knife nut. One of us I think. In past episodes I've seen him with a Merctor 55, a Resolza, Something German looking with a nice stag handle, and a few other knives. Enough to suspect that the is one of the afflicted.

I think you're right, it's not a GEC. IIRC the orange Bullnose has a polished, shiny handle. Zimmern's knife is more matte in finish.

You frequently see Opinels on his show. Given the weirdness of airline travel and local laws, I wonder if he sometimes buys knives locally.

Has anyone from a knife magazine or website (ahem!) ever contacted him to do an interview on his cutlery?

I looked at some old pictures on the interweb of him with pocket knives and he had a Kershaw leek in the orange also back in 2015. I didn't see any with the jr sodbuster but that's most likely what it is. Many pics with him holding and using other knives as well.
