Just as the title says "A Gem from a Gem" The true "Gem" is Duncan . This is well over due people so my apologizes to Duncan himself.

I would've posted sooner but somehow in the hectic holiday season the camera was mysteriously misplaced :o.

Duncan and I did a trade a while back. Upon Duncan's generous persistence Duncan insisted that if I were to part with my Spear two blade Gabon Ebony Charlow that he send me his beloved Harness Jack of Charlies creation. I honestly refused to the point where Duncan would hear of nothing less than a trade.

No joking but it's hard to say no to Duncan :o. He had lost his EDC Single blade Ebony Spear and all I wanted to do was send him my two blade version to soften the sting of losing a knife that's near and dear to you. Soooooo, Duncan so graciously appreciates the offer he INSISTS that I choose either the Bone or Ebony Harness Jack.

This is a TRUE BEAUTY!!! I have carried it almost daily since it's arrival--mostly after a days work and relaxing around the house. I gave in with the thought that someday this "Gem" may end up back with Duncan. The reason behind that thinking is that one day I told my wife and son's that if I pass to box up my knife collection and send it to Duncan. They seriously would not know what to do with it or even appreciate the value it possesses. Although I have no plans for checking out anytime soon :p I think I have another 25 to 30 years in my yet ;)

Thank you Duncan...

To me this knife is simply PRICELESS. Okay, now for the pictures.....

That is a breathtaking knife. I do think that this thread should be titled "a gem from a gem to a gem." Both you gentlemen are what make this little corner of the internet very special.

From one Gem to another! :) Great stuff guys, and that's a lovely knife

Proud to know you both.

Jack

Wow! -I am just out the door to take Izzy for a walk-who right now is squeaking away madly at me - and I see this!

Paul- its my pleasure my friend, you are one of the greats here, I have always enjoyed "talking" to you behind the scenes, and you absolutely blew me away with your most generous offer of your beloved Ebony TC- so it was a natural thing to do mu friend - ok...I must go as the barking now is getting out of hand lol
Thank you Paul for everything you do here for everyone.

Yeah Paul - that´s truly a gem! Duncan is a great fellow :)

You got a wonderful knife there- without a doubt. Thanks for sharing this wonderful knife!

Well done Paul - Duncan You are one of the best gentlemen here around.

Cheers!

Really decent knife that, and a really decent gesture with it. Somebody wiser than I once said, A man's deeds are only as valid as the intentions behind them.

Thanks, Will
