I just want to take this chance to publically thank Duane (aka sitflyer sitflyer ) for his gift!

I had lost my beloved Boker Barlow knife. A hole in the pocket of some old work jeans and she was gone. Lost somewhere on a 3 mile stretch of frozen lake. Soon to be lounging with ol' Davy Jones. Well, that is if Davy Jones doesn't mind a little northern fresh water!

After mentioning (whining) about the loss one a thread somewhere around here and how commenting (complaining) that I was going to have to select a new daily from my collection, Duane mentioned he had a Boker 494 in his collection and, if I could use it, would love to send it to me. Wowzers!

After nearly a month crossing borders, states, provinces and north of 60 degrees, it has arrived! The sawcut delrin so crisp! The blades so full! The stamping so deep! Here she be in all her beauty! Thank you muchly, Duane! Guys like you make this place great!

Davy Jones' new EDC. He's likely a slip joint man anyways...

Glad to see that ole gal finally completed the trip way up there to the frozen Yukon, been tracking its journey and it has taken a few stops along the way. That one there was a personal favorite and I did a little fine tuning to it here and there, use it in good health, and enjoy it as the fine tool it was made to be :)

Very generous :) Those Boker Barlows are great-looking knives
