Even though this Bowie has a modern Damascus blade, the ball tipped guard w/ recessed escutcheons & clam shell pommel give it the look & feel of a nineteenth century piece. Dimensions: 9 1/2" & 14 1/2".

The blade is a 240 layer random pattern of 1084 & 15N20. The handle is blackwood w/416 fittings.

Let me know what you think.

Thanks,
Gary

Very nice Gary. That bowie works on a lot of levels. Big thumbs up from me.

Thanks again for all of the kind words. When I started this one I had no intension of recreating a classic but must admit that I was influenced a lot with the hilt by Peter Rose.
