Hi my friends !
This is a recent work. A gentleman bowie.
The blade was made in CM154, Stabilized spalted maple for the handle. 420 stainless guard. It has an ivory inlay, I did a scrimshaw of a deer.
measuring of the blade is 6 inches.
Hope you like.

Nice piece, surprised it hasn't received more attention here. I've always liked well executed escutcheons, especially ivory.
I would have turned the deer in the opposite direction though. To me it looks up-side-down.
The scrim is very well done, you are a multi-talented individual.:thumbup:

I came back for another look and noticed the guard inlay or spacer? Is it bronze? Gold? It's difficult to tell in the photo.
Nice subtle touch. Nice photo, by the way.

Thanks Kevin & Facundo my friend !!!
Actually doubted orientation scrimshaw, I decided to do it that way for me to see who has it in hand.
The spacer in the guard is German Silver, this particular one is especially yellow but not as gold and not as white as silver.
Thank you for your appreciation of my work !

Hello!

Nice piece Cristian! The Scrim is fantastic! You really are a man of many talents! I have wondered about the orientation of the Scrim as well, but only because the makers mark is set up to be read the other way.

Best regards,
Alex
