My friend is getting one of his knives boron carbite (is that right? ) coated so I'm going to get my Gerber AR 3.00 recoated since its started to wear.

The teflon is wearing off he handle, so I was wondering if it is possible to remove the rubber inserts, so it can be coated, then put them back on when it's returned?

I know that I could get the inserts off, but the trick would be with out damaging them.

I would really like to get the whole knife recoated. So if you guys could supply pionters I would appreciate it.

I'm not sure how this is going to work, but you gotta remove the handle and have the blade coated.
I hope it isn't one of those molded on handles (ie CS SRK)
