Very nice - both the knife and to have such a friend.

I'd like to do something like that with my Mora.

What kind of wood is that?

Looks like thin discs of wood sandwiched between discs of steel to form the bolsters.

Seems like he extended the tang to the pommel with a bolt then ground it smooth.

Rosewood burl , i think.

you are right , man. he cutted off some length of tinner tang and weld a screw rod(bolt) on .
 
color me jealous....its gonna take an awfully pretty sheath to compliment that knife
 
thank you guys for kind words , i will buy a custom leather pants for the little mora.
 
I get a leather sheath for my little Mora today, fits in really good.:thumbup:
