I just finished this one up today. It has a 15n20 carbon steel blade, canvas micarta scales with green liners, and copper pins. This one is a gift for my nephew. Let me know what you think. I’m still new at this, so I’m open to any opinions or suggestions.

I like it. Looks comfortable and like it would be a hard worker as well

Why did you only round the handle for the index finger and not the whole handle?
I think it could be a good heavy user

I really like that blade, looks like a great user.well done
I'd round the edges of the handles more tho, especially with that material

Great work. I don't see much of a secondary bevel which tells me you got a fairly thin TBE which is good. Should perform well, especially in that steel. The profile looks great and very functional and comfortable.

Constructive criticism:

Handle rounding notes above. The shape looks great and the index finger notch looks good. Just knock the corners off a bit. You have the knife so you know best how it feels. Don't go too far as you can't put material back. Sometimes I use a file on corners for more control.

It looks like you were chasing the grind a bit at the heel as the blade is thinner there and the spanish notch is almost gone. One of the best tools to help with grinding is a cheap sheet metal thickness gauge. It really helps to check the edge thickness as your grinding to keep things consistent. I put a link below to show you what I'm talking about.

The pin alignment is a bit off as the one on the right looks a little high.

It looks as if your nephew is getting a great knife that will perform well.
