Last week, I received a PM from
paulhilborn
asking for my mailing address. He said he wanted to send me something that would help "make winter easier." Now Paul has been gracious enough to answer several winter-related questions I've had since moving to Minnesota, so I already owe him thanks for that, but now it seems that I owe him even more thanks for this Burlap Micarta #71 Bull Nose that he sent my way!
Paul had recently picked this knife up on the exchange (I was too slow), and he let me know that he had removed the patina from the blade and put a fresh edge on it, so all I did when it arrived was swap out the lanyard/fob and drop it in my pocket.
Paul, thank you again! I'm looking forward to putting this knife to good use this winter!
(I will say, it's a good thing these Bull Noses can be pinched open fairly easy, even with gloves on. Thanksgiving's still a week away and it was down to 6° this morning! Thankfully it's supposed to warm up a bit before next Thursday, as I'll be outside smoking our turkey. No wonder Canadians celebrate Thanksgiving in October!
