A friend's parents just moved into a new house, and I thought a house warming gift would be appropriate.
I have no idea if there are names for these blade shapes, but they are loosely based on the Japanese aesthetic that appeals to me so much.
Please offer up some critiques and comments.

Gift Set
Blade(s): 5 1/2" x 1/16"(approx), 5 1/4" x <1/8" of hand forged 1095 steel, flat ground with an 800 grit hand sanded finish, rounded choil, and a forced patina.
Handle(s): Red Maple Brid's-eye(oddly cut:manganr
with Rosewood bolsters, Bubinga liners, brass pins, and a buffed bees wax finish.
Saya: Ash with Bubinga welt and a Rosewood headed-maple pin.
