A friend's parents just moved into a new house, and I thought a house warming gift would be appropriate.

I have no idea if there are names for these blade shapes, but they are loosely based on the Japanese aesthetic that appeals to me so much.

Please offer up some critiques and comments.

Damn smudge on the spine!

And, again the same smudge!!

while I appreciate the functionality behind the locking mechanism, and the corresponding shape of the heel at the ricasso, that heel kinda kills it for me.

Otherwise, a beautiful set of knives displaying a pleasantly naturalistic theme, (as all your knives seem to- not a gray turd among them) that shows your respect for the qualities of the materials involved.
