I just bougt an equal end pocket knife. Pearl handles, no bolsters, brass liners. Excellent condition. The main blade is stamped A Glauner on one side and then the two kissing cranes on the other with the Rostfrie underneath that. the Secondary blade is only stamped with the birds and Rostfrie. So my question is, is it a kissing crane, where does A Glauner come from? It looks like many of the German knives I have looked at. My investigation left little help. I know a photo is great, but in this case there really isn't anything else to add. Any help would be appreciated.

Is it possible that it was one that was jobbed out by Glauner, made by kissing crane? Kissing crane has been around for well over a 100 years. Allot of american and german companies have had many knives made in solingen factories with their names. This date sback to well into the late 1800's through the 20th century, even today. Just like boker makes some of the modern russell barlows, or they (boker) make knives for henckels. It could be that kissing crane made it for Glauner?

Rostfrei is a German term meaning stainless (literal translation= rust free).
