My first trip to BLADE and I was an awe struck little kid meeting the greats and my friends Lin Rhea is a great guy who I have learned much over the years from following his work, I got to check out his x-Rhea bowie, pretty cool. Jerry Fisk who also openly shares his vast wealth of knowledge treated me like an old friend-mans a legend. Stopped by Kyle Gahagan's booth, he was pretty swamped with gawkers and couldn't make the photo but here is his BAD_ASS Persian, an evil feeling almost overcomes you holding this work of deviant art. Kyle was extremely nice as well. system overload TOO much to see and Im geekingout more to come

Josh Weston was a helluva guy Sam Lurquin, such a kind soul, and in my opinion the best maker going right now, this trench knife is incredible Jay Neilson was was a hoot! not scary at all when hes not behind the judging table of forged in fire"LOL"

Several Makers were too busy with a customer for photo ops or I was just an idiot and forgot, but got to talk with Don Hanson, his knives were gone but looked at Kyles. Karl Anderson was nice to finally meet in person, great knives, nice guy, Adam and Haley DesRosiers were obviously swamped but managed to get a few words in,pleasure to meet you guys. Lots of folks I met in the pit and really enjoyed our conversation so cutting loose photos are next

Dinner with dragons breath forge and Mareko Maumasi and Scott Thomas, my wife Jayme. Jamie Lundell was cracking me up, well they all were but,, Travis wuertz stopped by made my wifes day, tom ward was lurking around as well. The PIT Keith Fludder was an absolute hoot to talk with(for hours) Beers with Mace Vitale Beers with Jay. Basically I had the time of my life and thank all of you so much. I must of handled a 100 blades over the day and met Joe P and Ben seward as well.

It was very good to meet you, Chad. Looks like you had a great time man!
Thanks Don, I did manage to coonfinger a couple of your knives from one of the purveyers there, everything I thought they would be. My laryngitis is in full swing from talking and laughing all weekend

I left so many people that I talked with out, I'm sorry, just overwhelmed meeting so many great makers

Nice picts!

You forged in Fire guys cleaned up really nice :)

Honestly, it was pretty amazing how it felt like old friends with everyone I met for the first time. Its actualy the first time Ive been with so many that suffer my same disease"LOL"

Thanks for the pictures and glad you had a fine time of it....

Thanks Chad!

For the first time I really enjoyed a photographic coverage
of a knife show even if it was only related to some of your personal friends!
YOU GAVE THE NAMES of ALL KNIFEMAKERS!!!

This is something that is always missing in photographic coverage
done by "professional photographers" who display hundreds of snapshots
of "people", "people" and more "people" ALL OF THEM N A M E L E S S, people.....

I hope some of them realize this and correct it next time... High time too!

All the best!
