The Endura is a Seki model I know, but there's nothing in the Golden line that's as slim and long as the Endura. I'd love to see some slim G10 housing a 3.75 inch blade (longer if there's a choil). A backlock or ball bearing lock would be ideal. :)

It is not Golden made, but sounds like this is your knife? Unless you already have one.

The idea is to have different knives at different facilities. They're not going to make a Golden knife that ticks all the Endura's boxes because they already make a knife like that - in Seki.

I have zero problem with buying a Seki City knife.
That said you could get a Military and have the blade reshaped.

Not a back lock though . . .
. . . geeeeee . . . you want it all don't you ? ! :)

The Delica has several competitors blade length wise coming out of the Golden facility.

I do prefer to carry a US made knife BUT it's not only that. I think Japan makes a fine knife I'd just like the Endura format in G10 and a different steel.

Yes but you also said you're factoring in blade thickness. I would compare the Para 3 and Native 5 to the Delica's blade length, but they all tick different boxes: Para 3 has compression lock and it's thicker; Native has a backlock, no hump and it's thicker; Delica is thin and slicy and backlock.

In terms of blade length I'd think the Military would be the classic Golden model to compare to the Endura. It's just thicker and has a liner lock (also no tip up carry :( )

I wouldn't mind a thicker blade. When I referenced slimness I meant overall design. I've only held one Military. I wasn't crazy about the handle and tip down carry. Before that I thought it would be THE Spyderco for me. Liner locks aren't my favorite either.

I just think there's a void for that 3.75 inch blade length in the Golden line. Maybe we need a Paramilitary 2.5. :)

I think a lot of people would like to have an Endura style knife made in Golden. I would prefer FRN to G10, but a few years ago I brought up this same idea. The Endura is about the right size and it has the right lock. If it were made in Golden, the back lock would be even better.

As for the K390, you would love this steel if you would give it a try.

Try the Stretch2 in brown G10 w/zdp 189. I did and after years of carrying an endura of some flavor I would not go back.

In a modern folder I generally prefer stainless.

Not a zdp fan overall. I do like the look of that knife though.

The Police 4 or Millie would probably be closest to an Endura in similar blade shape and size. You can always buy some aftermarket g10 scales for your Endura if you don't like the FRN. There are many makers who make extremely well-made scales for the Endura that have awesome fit and finish. I'm biased towards the Millie, it's one of my favorite Spyderco models.
