found what im looking for..
Hey guys, i go hiking and camping and normally find myself using a folder for some things where my fixed blade is just too big... im looking for a fixed blade... only 3-4 inches in lenght (blade that is)... and mainly for food prep, or stripping bark of trees for tinder, i have a heavy ka-bar for batoning but when u get those small/thin pieces of the logs that you just need to boton / cut a bit smaller ... pretty much i'd like a good-well-built all-round use plain edge fixed blade.. for campings/hiking..
i was thinking of the rat 3.. any suggestions!?
P.S. i was thinking on getting it in 1095 instead of d2, cause 1095 is tougher.. although it won't hold its edge as long i normally dont spend more then 3-4 days out in the wild before returning home + i take a knife sharpner with me just incase..
btw my main fixed blade for battonning is the ka-bar heavy bowie.. been workin out pretty well, but as i said its just too big for some other things.. so any suggestions on 1 ?
