I ran into a member of my knife club today and he told me he had some knives out in his car if I wanted to take a look. He has had the same basic knives in his trade roll for a while, so I didn't expect to find much. I was pleased to see that he had about twenty knives I had not seen before. Here are the two I picked up today. Top one is a BUHL SONS, bottom is a G. Schrade pull ball knife. I just wish that I had more cash to spend on knives right now.

Buhl Sons Co are rare! I never would have heard of them if I wasn't looking for Harness Jacks. Nice pattern you have there Rivit! Only the second Buhl I've seen. Nice pull ball too!
Here's my Buhl, if you want to compare.

Mine was made on contract, likely by Napanoch because the punch is their patent punch. It's possible it was made by Winchester in their early days, after they bought out Napanoch. I don't know if Winchester contracted knives for others though. Yours may have been made by Nap or Win also!

Thanks Waynorth. I actually have five Buhl Sons folders, and one fixed blade. It has taken me quite a while to find that many that were in any condition to buy. If you do a forum search for Buhl I put pics of the rest of them in another thread. Two of my folders were made by New York Knife Company, but this new one looks just like an old Shatt & Morgan that a friend has. The fixed blade is a Marbles Woodcraft pattern. If you ever decide to trade yours let me know.

I did the forum search, and came up with the old knife thread. A nice trip back in time, that was a good thread! Thanks Rivit.
I'll revive the thread one of these days!!
