This was on the news tonight there is video posted if you look it up ... but here is a brief bit of the story copied from a news station post ... even if it was a cheap "tacticool" type knife ... but it cut ... that's all it needed to do ...

***Logan Simmons, who works at Chick-fil-A, jumped out the drive-thru window to save a 6-year-old boy choking on a seat belt wrapped around his neck.

"I'm still kind of shocked right now myself that all this has happened," said Logan.

You could call him the fast food hero.

"I just jumped out the window and ran straight down to the car," he said.

The Chick-fil-A provided surveillance video which shows Logan leap out of the drive-thru window to run toward the choking child.

"I think it was the quickest option, it was right there and I saw the other car right there," he said.

Once outside of the restaurant, Logan jumped in the child's car in the drive-thru and found the little boy's mother, begging for help with her son's seat belt that somehow got tangled around his neck.

"You could see he was turning red and losing pigmentation in his face," Logan said.

Logan pulled out his pocket knife and cut the little boy free, possibly preventing a tragedy.***

I hope they give that guy a raise! He possibly saved a life and a true hero in my book. Good thing he had a knife.

Surprising enough Chick fil a did give him a raise ...
That's great and I may just have to swing by a Chick-Fil-A and give them some business.

Chick Fil A is known for its excellent customer service.
They really do have very good customer service. I'm still a fan of the original chicken sandwich that started the company. One of their stores recently opened in the vicinity of KSF (Ooltewah TN) and the parking lot is almost always full which I find amazing considering all the fast food options we have today. I visit the Walmart that is close to there about once a week. Gas is cheap too.

Great to see a positive story about knives!!

I haven't had regular TV in years but I was visiting a relative today. He had either Fox News or OAN playing in the background while we were chatting. This relative carried a Swiss Army Knife for years but gave it up when the school where he taught took a hard stance on "no knives" a decade or two ago. He is retired now so of course I was suggesting that he start carrying a knife again. Just as I was telling him how it could save somebody's life, this story came on!
