A good fire starting tip from KSF,

I've read the article too, made me take a hard look at my own kit. Does anyone know if there's some spare room in an Otter Box 1000 with either the normal or the De Luxe fire kit to add some of my own stuff?

Thanks,

D-R

Here in the UK coated knives arn't as popular as they seem to be in the US - I've always used the back of my knife on my firsteel - but having almost switched to Rats these days i either use my SAK or if i'm only carring a single blade i use my stripped Izula - I've squared off the spine to make it easier

On SAKs and some other knives, I take a chainsaw file and file a notch on the screwdriver blade, works pretty good!

We are including different tips and such in the newsletter every month. We will have an interview with Jeff in an upcoming issue! :) (he doesn't know it yet, though, so don't tell him. I want it to be a surprise.)

..ps..you guys can sign up for the newsletter on my site on the left side.

I just had a fella make me a small knife. I told him to leave the spine a nice sharp 90 degrees just for this purpose.

I got the newsletter as well. That is a nice value added service that KSF offers. Thank you Derrick.
