sober today. Decided he wanted a life instead of a pile of empties.

I'm proud to know him.

It takes an amazing amount of strength to beat one's demons. Here's to continued success!

Congrats and plenty of well wishing smoke for continued sobriety:)!

:o uh, yeah. Booze really is a slippery slope. Too often a good time is associated with intoxication, an unnatural state that doesn't do anyone any good. Imagine getting killed while you were drunk; unable to defend or save yourself- wouldn't that be an eternal disgrace? or killing someone else: as a drunk driver. You'd be dead inside even if you lived having taken another's life for no reason, in a moment of stupidity, carelessness and weakness.

There's a little bit of death in every bottle, and tragedy isn't far away when you make serious drinking a part of your life.

You live once. Don't miss anything.

Congrats to your amigo... The greatest battles are fought within, and are not won without the help of friends such as yourselves.

Here's to the next step.

Congrats to your friend.

I've never touched the stuff out of fear of addiction, because I know how scary it can be. Good for your friend. Kudos and keep up the good work!

It ain't easy.
But it sure is a badge of honor to beat it.
I've seen too many people defeated by what seemed so innocuous at first ...

Congratulations, best wishes, and prayers for continuing sobriety to all of our friends.

Good for your friend.
It's a tough addiction to control.

I've seen many lives destroyed by alcohol.

3 years ROCKS!!
Congratulations to your friend
