I had a good laugh browsing ebay today. A Seller has listed a limited edition serial numbered monogramed Tech Bowie.
These were made post 2006 and one of his photos shows "Taiwan" stamped on the ricasso.
He then goes on to state:
"SOG Spencer Frazer Limited Edition with a coldwater wave grind cut , devilsharp , made by the hands of Hattori at least befor the SOG Group switched to another country of production. its No. 253 of 300 pieces and i was hunting many years to fine a MINT PIece. Here it is now up for sale.
I was lucky back many years to had a privat contact to Hattori himself and his wife , i found this SOG that nevr sent back to USA , so he sold me as new old stock,
He sold it once to me persoanally ( i also have the shipping strip along )"
