A Good Machete Sheath?

I have a Cold Steel 18'' Latin Machete but the sheath is crap, it has ripped in one spot and it is very flimsy. I have seen the other sheath with pockets that Cold Steel makes but I'm questioning the quality as well. So, can you guys recommend good after market sheath that it not too expensive considering that the machete was also not very expensive. Any info will be appreciated. Thanks!
 
Do a search and you should be able to find a couple threads where someone made one from a flattened piece of plastic pipe.I think there was one recently in the sheaths and such forum.
 
a machete is an agricultural tool.
i presume plantation owners figured the use of sheaths would have caused a drop in production...
so that's probably why there isn't much of a tradition in wearing a sheathed machete.
perhaps we could thank the army with introducing this ingenious method of carry.
besides, once stored in a sheath a low cost machete would rust unseen!
carry with pride, knowing true well that a job well done is in never having put down a machete till the sun goes down.
good luck in locating a sheath that's cheaper than a machete!
