A friend on TKCL posted this link today and I consider Steve Schwarzers words very wise.

(Also provides an explaination on why Brian T, others and I enjoy collecting sole authorship knives, and why when I am looking for a good custom to use I have a different mindset).

As the TKCL poster said A Good Read

One of the best times I had at last year's Blade Show was a presentation on "What is a Handmade Knife", hosted by Steve Schwarzer, and featuring Chris Reeve, Warren Osborne, and Don Fogg. What came through most was how much each of the presenters cares about the knives they produce, regardless of their methods.

When Steve talks about craftsmanship, it's from the heart.
