I had a wonderful time at the Cambridge show. No, I did not sell out, or take orders for a hundred knives. My table was set up, back to back with Greg and Peg Gottschalk. We sat shoulder to shoulder, literally, for two days.
I found them to be wonderful people that told many great stories and freely shared there knowledge.

Many makers that I know, from here on the forums, stopped by my table to introduce themselves and put a face to the name.
Thanks, Joe South, Phillip Patton, RLS and others for making that effort. It is really nice how the knife community functions, what a great consortium of people.
I am a richer person today, than I was before the show and I spent three hundred dollars on supplies.:D Go figure.

Hey Fred,
Nice to meet you too! I would have liked to hang out more with you and the other table holders, but I kinda felt like I should be at my table, you know? :)

It was good meeting both of you guys and Karl and Del and the other guys too. As Mr. Bagwell was in attendance, I have now met 3 of the 4 founding fathers of the ABS which, to me, is kinda like meeting 3 of the 4 Beatles.
What I learned in my brief time at the show is that professional photos make a WORLD of difference. I now have a gorgeous pic for the home page up my soon to be built web site and something for an ad, thanks to Mr. Hoffman:thumbup::D

Indeed...It was fun and interesting. It would have been nice to make some money or at least pay for the trip, but oh well. I got a lot of encouragement, but little cash...And I suppose we could have had some more room behind the tables, it was a little uh, close

I too feel richer for the efforts and meeting the good folks in attendance. Every person who spent the time to adress me and talk, impressed me very much.

You just don't get that in other industries. There is a lot of passion and talent and my trip to Cambridge showed that to me in a big way.

BTW...great stuff Fred...and you too Phill!!
