Pretty interesting. Notice how the fie is moving away from the edge. I prefer a wider file and place both hands on top of the file when working the edge.

Why did he flip that file around? "invertir" does that mean invert? Ran it through Google translate, but it seems to think it means "Invest for better performance."

Is that a specially cut file?

Agreed. Plus I prefer to clamp my machetes in a vise for filing.

Yes, it's a double-ended file. Coarse and fine cut.

The advantage in the method shown is that it can be done without the need for any other tools or a workbench. This technique can be performed anywhere you're able to sit.
