I know this guy from Don's site..He does several historical viking axes and uses historical methods of construction found thru examination of actual viking axes.. He's good, take a look...Also if your interested in Blacksmithing its dosnt get much better than Mark Aspery. The video is on his channel. Take a look at his stuff too...

Most of those are fullers of one type or another(a flatter too)..To be honest, a blacksmith will never have to many hammers/fullers/tongs or tools in general...Dont think you cant do it without them though..You can creative with the anvil horn and edges...
