A great hatchet from Esker

That's a real scary barberchair split and you're lucky it didn't uppercut you. Be sure to use back cuts to prevent this. Even a small tree like that one can seriously injure you.

anyhow i am not here to roast you (lucky chap)
well it's not the first review of that hatchet i see , it seems to be a very capable bushcraft hatchet, head flaring just enough and ready handle even if i think the soulder is a bit too long. it is a montreal pattern one off my favorite! i watched with no sound ; so i just can assume sheath is from factory, and seems to be decent, handle has a nice wood grain and honey color almost looks like orange osage (no sound again sorry.) nice purchase congratulations!
