While cruising through the 09 catalog, I couldn't help but go back for a second look at something..

The ERGOHUNTER... The person that came up with this idea was really thinking.
I'll start off by saying that when I use a sheath knife, it is usually a little smaller in size and I absolutely don't like knifes with gut hooks..
I always figured they were for people that didn't really know how to use a knife properly when taking care of game.. Also, having a gut hook on a knife really limits the uses of the knife IMHO..

But the idea of having a sheath knife and a separate gut hook all in one sheath is a great idea. I've never seen anything like this before. This knife had to be designed by someone who hunts..
Kudos for a great new concept  One of what looks to be a lot of great new ideas for 09....

Me either, but I can't complain at Buck to much, considereing I am still waiting for my 2008 Benchmade catalog. :)

For me a seperate gut hook on another blade works better. But if done correct I could use a blade w/ the gut hook built in.I've made some knives that way, it works and people like them.DM

I'm not sold on the gut hoooks, but I have them and have used 'em too ;)
I like it right on my Zipper! My wife uses an alpha guthook, and nothing else, she loves it!

A seperate guthook will just be another thing for me to lose :D
The Ergo hunter will be safe though ;)
